ENOUGH OF VACATION CHRISTIANITY

THE CROSS IS THE GATEWAY TO POWER
There is a deception spreading—even among Christians—silent but devastating: living the faith as a spiritual vacation… A comfortable Christianity.
Without effort.
Without commitment.
Without real spiritual battle yet constantly seeking ongoing deliverance.
Without sacrifice.
Without mission.
We want to feel good…to experience a false peace…to receive consolations…
👉 but without paying the price of the anointing and the Gospel.
This is not discipleship.
It is spiritual consumerism.
WE HAVE REMOVED GOD FROM THE CENTER
We have removed Jesus from our families.
We no longer give thanks for the providence we have.
We have emptied our homes of prayer and we chase distractions that bring neither peace nor joy.
We have delegated faith to others…instead of living it and embracing our calling.
And then we are surprised that evil advances.
“What wrong have we ever done?”
THE CHURCH CLEARLY CALLS US
👉 to become missionaries.
And yet what do we do? We run:
from meeting to meeting
from experience to experience
from charismatic leader to charismatic leader
👉 without becoming rooted
👉 without committing
👉 without taking a stand
BAPTISM IS NOT A SOUVENIR: IT IS POWER
👉 Baptism has immersed you into the victory of Christ.
The Word is clear:
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)
👉 It does not say: run away.
👉 It says: resist.
And again:
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:11)
STOP IDENTIFYING WITH SUFFERING
Many complain…and end up identifying with their pain.
They compare themselves to Job or to Padre Pio…
But Scripture says:
“You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood in your struggle against sin.” (Hebrews 12:4)
👉 Do not justify your passivity.
👉 The path is demanding.
👉 Enter the battle.
THIS IS WHY EVIL SEEMS TO BE MULTIPLYING
👉 Because many no longer resist.
It is not that evil is stronger. It is that the Christian has become more passive.
sacrifice is avoided
the cross is rejected
a faith without cost is sought
👉 And so evil finds space.
THE CROSS IS THE FRONT LINE
Jesus said it clearly:
“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23)
👉 Every day. Not only when it is convenient.
THE FIRST PENTECOST: 12 MEN
WHO SET THE WORLD ON FIRE
At the beginning there were no crowds.
No structures. No strategies.
There were twelve men.
At Pentecost they received the fire of the Holy Spirit.
And the promise was fulfilled:
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses… to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
👉 From 12 men…
👉 the Gospel has reached billions
👉 across all five continents
Not because they were comfortable…
👉 but because they were committed.
TODAY GOD DOES THE SAME
God has not changed His strategy.
At Pontmain (France), 12 Partners in Mission Emmaus COM took a real step:
👉 they committed themselves as Disciples of Emmaus.
They chose:
faithfulness
mission
the daily cross
And this continues.
👉 In Sicily (Italy), others are preparing after a time of formation.
👉 They too will become Disciples of Emmaus
👉 they will receive a letter of mission
👉 they will be sent out
ENOUGH OF SPIRITUAL TOURISM
The Word is clear:
“Be doers of the word, and not hearers only.” (James 1:22)
It is not enough to listen.
👉 You must live it.
👉 You are not on vacation.
👉 You are on mission.
THE RESURRECTION IS FOR THOSE WHO COMMIT
“If we have died with him, we will also live with him.” (2 Timothy 2:11)
👉 This is the logic of the Gospel.
TAKE YOUR STAND
“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.” (1 Corinthians 16:13)
👉 Resist
👉 Fight
👉 Remain
BECAUSE IN THE END…
“Take courage; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
👉 The victory is already given.
👉 Evil will retreat
👉 Light will advance
👉 the resurrection will explode in your life!
